The East Croydon Masterplan brings together developments at Croydon’s front door, centred on the railway station which boasts direct links to Gatwick Airport, London Victoria and London Bridge in 15 minutes.
As well as an improved transport interchange, the masterplan brings together developments such as Ruskin Square, being developed by Stanhope Schroder, as well as Menta’s schemes in Cherry Orchard Road, including Morello which is being delivered in conjunction with Redrow Homes.
Enhanced public realm will tie together the various proposals, and connect the area with improvements planned for Wellesley Road and College Green.
As part of the masterplan, a new station entrance and pedestrian footbridge was delivered towards the end of 2013, increasing station capacity and enabling the wider regeneration of Croydon.
The international jury for the New London Awards 2012 named the East Croydon Masterplan as joint winner of the Best Masterplan category in July 2012.
