Croydon’s iconic One Croydon continues to prove fit for big name companies after the Gym Group moved its head office into the building.
The company, which has pioneered a network of low-cost, no contract gyms open 24 hours a day across the UK, has taken 5,700 sq ft on the fifth floor of the so-called ‘50p building’ in Addiscombe Road, opposite East Croydon station.
As well as moving its headquarters, the closest branch of The Gym in Suffolk House has just been enhanced with improved spaces for exercise classes and redecoration throughout.
The 23-storey One Croydon has seen a flurry of new tenants with Pinnacle ESP also taking 3,000 sq ft in the building as they relocate their existing offices from Croydon and London.
The building provides 160,000 of recently refurbished Grade A open space while the reception, common parts and vacant offices have all been refurbished. Only around 14,000 sq ft of space is currently available in four different parts of the building – the largest 7,583 sq ft on the third floor.
Holly Purvis, associate for Stiles Harold Williams which acts as joint letting agents with Savills, said: “One Croydon welcoming two further tenants has cemented its place as the borough’s most iconic business tower.”
