Croydon has several community festivals which bring the community together throughout the year. They include:
Ambition Festival: Launched by Croydon Council for the first time in 2015 as an electic four-day mix of indoor and outdoor performances and installations featuring music, drama, dance and more.
Croydon Craft Beer Festival: Held for the first time at Braithwaite Hall, Croydon Clocktower, in 2015, this is a three-day event also featuring live music
Croydon Food Festival: Centred on the Croydon Restaurant Quarter this event usually takes place on the last Sunday in June and features, stalls, food demonstrations and live music on South End.
Croydon Heritage Festival: A two-week programme led by the Whitgift Foundation with talks, guided tours and events to celebrate the town’s rich heritage.
Croydon Pride Fest: Returning to the town for the first time in decades on August 28, 2016 with music, dance food and cabaret in Surrey Street.
Crystal Palace International Film Festival: A prestigious fortnight-long event featuring around 100 film screenings. The festival is educational and entertaining, with great food and drink and Q&A’s with prominent film makers, who fly in from around the world for the event.
Purley Festival: Usually held annually, organisers are taking 2016 off with the promise of a bigger and better event in 2017.
