Menta Redrow is delivering a comprehensive approach to the eastern side of the station. Basement parking for over 130 cars and cycles services the whole development, enabling the streetscape and public realm to be fully utilised, benefitting the regeneration of Addiscombe and the surrounding area.
Designed by internationally renowned architects, MAKE, the second phase will deliver 450 new homes in two 25 storey buildings adjacent to the station, and on Cherry Orchard Gardens. Phase two also includes an exciting new station entrance, animated by high quality amenity, retail and commercial space; a public piazza, and a pedestrian bridge linking the station and the central retail area with its new Westfield complex. All complement the comprehensive approach to landscaping and public realm envisaged by the East Croydon Masterplan. High quality design and material selection means that the buildings are designed to achieve BREEAM Excellent, producing over 45% reduction in the government’s target emissions standards.
