South London’s most iconic landmark, One Lansdowne, is being developed by Guildhouse Rosepride. Featuring two towers of 68 and 41 storeys, linked by an 11-storey podium structure, it will become the architectural centrepiece of Croydon.
Designed by the world-renowned Piers Gough CBE of CZWG Architects, One Lansdowne will play a major role in addressing the need for housing and premium office space in Croydon as well as creating a tourist destination to rival The Shard.
The development will contain 794 residential units, 35,000 sq m of premium office space, retail, a swimming pool and gym, a public viewing gallery offering panoramic views across the capital and Surrey, and the highest bar and restaurant facilities in London.
One Lansdowne is situated just a few minutes’ walk from East Croydon and West Croydon Stations and directly opposite the Whitgift shopping centre, which is being transformed into one of the UK’s leading retail and leisure destinations by Westfield and Hammerson over the next few years.
The groundbreaking structure, which will create a world-famous landmark for south London, has been signed off by both the local authority and the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan, with work scheduled to start in late 2018.
