Hot on the heels of the Develop Croydon Investor Tour, the Mayor of London paid a visit to the town centre this morning.
Just a day after a group of around 50 business leaders were given an in-depth look at all the huge developments helping to transform the borough, Sadiq Khan and his Deputy Mayor for Planning, Regeneration and Skills, Jules Pipe, came to Croydon.
The Mayor was pictured talking to local community groups and being given a tour of the new ‘street park’ in College Square. The group then moved across to a function in Amp House on Dingwall Road.
“He’s here to promote the area,” was the curt response from one of his security team when asked what had prompted the Mayor’s visit.
It remains unclear if Mr Khan and his team had heard what a success the Investor Tour had been the day before, but the timing couldn’t be a coincidence, could it?
